Salmonellosis (Salmonella spp.)
Salmonellosis is a disease caused due to salmonella bacteria that spreads due to contaminated food. Salmonella can also be spread from animal to animal and one person to another.
How It Spreads :
Salmonella can be spread in people and animals through feces of the ill animals, the environment, and contaminated food. Also, people can be easily infected with salmonella if they do not wash their hands after touching the toys, food, poop, and habitat.

Signs In Horses :
The horses which have salmonella infection might not show any signs of illness. Or some of them might have dehydration, depression, and diarrhea.
